23 March 2022, from Gems:
Dear Fellow Lot Owners:
Thank you for all your words of appreciation. We’re beside ourselves with joy for this major breakthrough in our fight to claim our lots, and we acknowledge all those who have helped one way or another to make this happen. The 17-year old suspension memo, in effect since 15 April 2005, has been rescinded. The lifting orders have been signed by Acting DENR Secretary Jim Sampulna, effective 16 March 2022. Our own Gordian Knot has been loosened and cut for our destined good. Our efforts have reached a tipping point. And we thank and praise God for this first won objective. At the same time we know that the devil still lurks in the details. So we will be discussing this latest directive with key DENR officers this Friday during our JTF meeting or next week. We will be setting guidelines for the resumption of the controlled and systematic processing of all lot applications. We will be shifting gears from the basic interview process to the payment phase. We will be clarifying all specific requirements under each stage (please refer to my 16 March post on the 20-step titling process). And in full coordination with the AFPOVAI management, we shall be preparing to hold a one-stop shop processing of all documents at the main office or nearby area in the soonest time possible – for as long as necessary.
We understand everyone’s excitement, and much as we want to answer all your queries, we’d rather keep ourselves focused on the process and the next steps. We’ll definitely inform you of the proper procedures to be followed in the next few days. Kindly rest easy and assured that we got this. For all of us.
